OUR STORY
A dream came to life on the enchanting property of Rongotai, named by its previous owners. Here, we invite you to immerse your senses in the sights, sounds, scents, and tastes of the ocean. Our ethos revolves around living simply, sustainably, and fully while providing a space that caters to family, creativity, work, and nature, all against the backdrop of breathtaking ocean views.
Our journey began with family visits from the UK and a growing interest in the glamping trend, which led us to establish the Inverloch Glamping Co. in 2016.
In 2017, we converted a livestock paddock into a flourishing sanctuary by planting thousands of native species and committing to an eco-friendly approach to our operations.
By early 2019, we were ready to welcome guests to indulge in a luxurious glamping experience designed for the adventurous traveler, romantic couple, and friends.
We have since held some memorable weddings and functions and can facilitate a small number of events each year. This aspect of the business is evolving so watch this space for developments!
At The Inverloch Glamping Co., we embody the values of simplicity, sustainability, and fulfillment. Sustainability lies at the heart of everything we do, from cultivating fresh produce in our growing dome and orchard to exploring the traditions of bush tucker and fiber vegetation. We place a strong emphasis on nurturing the land that sustains us, fostering a space where nature seamlessly integrates with modern comforts.
Our property has been meticulously planned to offer a range of immersive experiences.
From growing flowers and foliage that adorn the grounds to providing fresh flowers for every stay, the natural beauty of our surroundings truly enhances the guest experience. By carefully cultivating native grasses, guests have the unique opportunity to connect with the land through creative activities like weaving workshops. Keep an eye on our events page for upcoming workshop offerings!
Our growing dome and orchard yield seasonal herbs and fruits, giving guests a taste of the freshest produce from the land. Our resident goats assist in maintaining the hard-to- reach areas, while our bees diligently produce golden honey, enriching our ecosystem with sweetness.
Driven by a commitment to self- sufficiency and eco-conscious living, we take pride in being water self-sufficient. Every aspect of our property reflects our eco-friendly ethos, from using recycled timbers and locally sourced materials to embracing handmade practices in gardening, produce cultivation, and crafting.
As an eco-friendly property, we also use ENA products and locally sourced materials wherever possible.
Upon booking, you’ll receive a personalised guide via TouchStay, filled with eco-friendly tips on staying comfortable, whether you’re cooling off or warming up in your tent or cabin.
